Key To Stability And Sanity – The Annual Development Plan
Do you find yourself insanely following the latest demands of your organization, your executive director, a board member, a prospective donor or a current donor? Here’s an answer.
A successful (and sane) development program is only possible when there is a plan agreed to by all involved – volunteers and staff – and implemented through the year. The plan must be donor centered, current and relevant for your organization. This session will explore the components of a development program – annual, major and estate gifts – and their fit in the yearly fundraising process. We will then delve into the steps to set a comprehensive development plan and create ownership among staff, board and donors. And of course, no session would be complete without discussion of recent trends among donors and their desires.
