Who is IdealWare:
Nonprofit leaders are conservationists, homebuilders, and early childhood educators. They counsel people in need and curate art exhibits. They spread good ideas and advocate for real change. Nonprofit leaders are you—passionate, diversely talented people who make life better in communities everywhere.
To do all this work you likely need technology tools—computers, email, calendaring, file storage, a constituent database, communications platforms, and much more. But chances are your passions don’t include technology. That’s where IdealWare comes in.
IdealWare will help you make smart technology decisions so that you’re able to do your best work on a limited budget.
IdealWare, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides an authoritative guide to the software that allows nonprofits—especially small ones—to be more effective. IdealWare’s original research fuels all of our work. The many articles and sessions we offer help organizations make the practical decisions they face each day. We combine that research with our extensive knowledge and experience to develop seminars and courses for the particular needs of small- and mid-sized nonprofits. Each session is delivered by skilled instructors chosen for their broad base of experience on the topic. They’re familiar with the issues faced by nonprofits, and they know the different technology available to address them—and how they all compare. Whether in-person or online, our training breaks topics down to the nuts and bolts so participants can understand the issues, the needs, and the solutions, and can learn how to make smart decisions for their organizations. Technology changes rapidly. Regardless of mission or makeup, the organizations in your network introducing IdealWare training struggle to keep up. What social media tools are most effective? What donor management systems can best manage your database? How do you set up an email fundraising campaign for your lists of constituents? Is migrating to Google Apps worth your time? We’ll help you provide them with the right answers
We don’t do consulting and we don’t offer any technology products of our own. But we do collaborate with nonprofit technology experts to uncover and synthesize vast amounts of original research so that you can focus more of your time on what matters most—your organization’s mission.
