Betty Johnson, CFRE, is president of Betty Johnson & Associates, a full service consulting firm. She has over 30 years experience in the development field, been a CFRE since 1997, an AFP Faculty master trainer, member of Kansas City AFP chapter, past chair and current member of the Association of Philanthropic Counsel, and a member of KARL -Kansas Agricultural Rural Leadership program.
She has worked for a variety of nonprofits including national, local, and regional. Johnson has spoke at AFP International, along with regional, state, and local organizations, training 1000s of staff and volunteers in the nonprofit arena. She is a trained TOPS facilitator and certified in Strategic Doing.
Betty’s firm works with various types of nonprofits including social service agencies, community development, agricultural organizations, hospitals, churches, community foundations, museums, community foundations, historical societies, schools, and art organizations that have local, regional, state, and national constituencies. She has traveled the country working with donors, corporations, and foundations to create partnerships and funding to enhance nonprofit organizations. Her style and personality allows her to relate to people of various backgrounds and experience.
She currently lives in Lawrence and is the mother of 3 sons.
